4 Ways to Put Video on Your Site or Blog

4 Ways to Put Video on Your Site or Blog

1) An Embed Code

If you have an existing website you can easily paste in what is called an “Embed Code”. This code is generated by your video host. To do this you'll paste a small tidbit of HTML into your website's code.
Find the HTML view of your blog or site.
This is an example of finding the HTML view, depending on your site or blog service this could be different.

Grab your video or playlist (group of video) Embed Code.

2) Image Link
This method is handy if you are worried about the load time of your website. Normally a video doesn't slow things but if you have a lot of special widgets on your site that can slow it down. The image method works like this: You take a still or screen-capture from the video and link to the published video page or a popup video itself.
This is a good example of using an image to link to a video.

3) Video Landing Pages

Video landing pages are a great idea if you don't have access to edit your website or if your host doesn't permit video codes. You can also use Video Landing Pages to highlight an event, service or new product.

4) Build Your Website with Video from the Start

If your website is really out of date or you don't have one this is a good option.

2 Steps : Turn Your PowerPoint into a Video

Reusing your content and adapting can help same time and money.

How to Turn Your PowerPoint Into a Video

Easily making your PowerPoint web friendly.

Over the years we've seen a LOT of video and something that's becoming more common is adapting existing PowerPoint or presentations into video. It's a really good idea frankly, not only will your presentation be able to play on your website or on a mobile device but you already have the material to make it. Even better it's really easy to do.

Step 1: Find your PowerPoint
  • Really just find the file you want to save as a video and open it up.
Step 2: Save it as a Video.
  • Click “File” in the top left of your screen and click “Save As”. From your format options click “Windows Media Video”.
Just so you know you can also save your PowerPoint as a PDF, which we think is dandy.

The video file will save and if you want you can always edit the video file to add sound and other elements that may not have been in your video.

Here is the video result of a PowerPoint.
